Start your journey from Rishikesh and make your way to Sari, the starting point of the trek. The drive takes around 6-7 hours and offers scenic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Upon arrival in Sari, check into your guesthouse and spend the night preparing for the trek ahead.
Today, you’ll start the actual trekking portion of your journey. Your trek will take approximately 2 hours, with a distance of around 8 km to cover. During the trek, you’ll ascend to an elevation of 2300 meters above sea level and pass through dense forests, picturesque villages, and rolling meadows. The trail is easy to moderate and offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks.
After a good night’s rest, continue your trek from Deoria Tal to Chopta. The trek takes around 4-5 hours, with a distance of around 12 km to cover. You’ll climb to a maximum elevation of 2680 meters above sea level and traverse through dense forests, meadows, and streams. The views of the surrounding peaks become even more breathtaking as you progress towards Chopta.
Today is the day you’ll reach the summit of Chandrashila. The trek to Tungnath Temple takes around 3 hours and covers a distance of around 6 km. From Tungnath, it’s a short and steep climb of around 1 hour to reach the summit of Chandrashila, which stands at a height of 4000 meters above sea level. Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and spend some time at the summit before making your way back to Chopta.
Today is the final day of your trekking journey. After breakfast, make your way back to Rishikesh, where your trek will officially come to an end. The drive takes around 6-7 hours and offers one last chance to soak in the beauty of the surrounding hills and valleys. Upon arrival in Rishikesh, you’ll be dropped off at your preferred location.
