The Kedartal trek is a popular destination in the Indian Himalayas, ideal for those seeking a challenging and rewarding trekking experience. Starting from Gangotri, the trek allows you to visit the famous Gangotri Temple and the Suryakund hot springs, known for their therapeutic properties.

As you ascend, you will witness some of the most pristine landscapes in the Indian Himalayas, including scenic forests, meadows, and the stunning Kedartal Lake at an elevation of 4,750 meters. The route begins in Gangotri and takes you to Bhoj Kharak, a campsite at 3,780 meters, through dense forests with views of the Bhagirathi peaks. From Bhoj Kharak, the trek continues to Kedar Kharak at 4,238 meters, passing through meadows and offering panoramic views of the Thalay Sagar and Jogin peaks. The final stretch from Kedar Kharak to Kedartal involves challenging ascents and descents, but rewards trekkers with breathtaking views of the Gangotri range and the serene Kedartal Lake.
