Rishikesh to Raithal (7,000 ft)

  • Departure Point: Rishikesh in the early morning.
  • Drive to Raithal: (Approx. 7-8 hours, 180 km).
    • Enjoy a scenic drive through Uttarkashi with views along the Bhagirathi River.
  • Arrival at Raithal: A quaint Himalayan village that serves as the starting point for the Dayara Bugyal trek.
  • Evening: Village walk and explore a 500 year old house in the village and a godess temple, later Briefing session with your trek guide, orientation, and preparation for the trek.
  • Overnight Stay: Homestay/guesthouse in Raithal.

Raithal to Chilapada (9,500 ft)

  • Trek Distance: 5 km, 3-4 hours.
  • Trail Highlights: Begin your ascent through dense forests filled with pine, oak, and rhododendron trees, offering beautiful views of surrounding peaks.
  • Arrival at Chilapada: A scenic campsite in a forest clearing, perfect for acclimatizing.
  • Evening: Relax at the campsite, enjoy a campfire (weather permitting), and experience the tranquility of the forest.

Chilapada to Dayara Bugyal Top (11,181 ft) to Gui Campsite (9,500 ft)

  • Trek Distance: 6-7 km round trip, 5-6 hours.
  • Trail Highlights: Trek through alpine meadows with stunning panoramic views of Himalayan peaks like Bandarpoonch, Draupadi ka Danda, and Srikanth.
  • Packed Lunch: Enjoy lunch amidst the meadows of Dayara Bugyal, soaking in the beauty of the vast grasslands.

Gui to Raithal, Drive Back to Rishikesh

  • Trek Distance: 4 km, 2-3 hours.
  • Descent to Raithal: Enjoy the last leg of your trek as you descend back to Raithal village.
  • Drive to Rishikesh: Hop into jeeps and embark on the drive back, reaching Rishikesh by evening.

Cancellation Policy for Our Treks:

  1. Booking Deposit:

    • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your spot.
  2. Payment Terms:

    • The remaining 50% balance must be paid 15 days prior to the trek departure date.
  3. Cancellation Terms:

    • The initial 50% deposit is non-refundable.
    • If cancellation is made at least 7 days before the trek departure, the remaining 50% of the payment may be refunded.
    • Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to departure are non-refundable.
  4. Confirmation Policy:

    • A confirmation voucher will be emailed within 24 hours of successful booking.
    • If preferred slots are unavailable, we will offer an alternate schedule based on the customer’s preference. A new confirmation voucher will be sent accordingly.
    • If the alternate schedule does not suit the customer, they may cancel their booking, and a full refund will be processed.
  5. Children, Extra Beds, and Pets:

    • Children and extra beds are not allowed.
    • Pets are not allowed on treks.

What should I pack for the trek?

Essentials include:

  • Warm Clothing: Layered clothing, thermal innerwear, a down jacket, and gloves (especially in winter).
  • Trekking Shoes: Sturdy, comfortable trekking boots with good grip.
  • Backpack: 20-30 liter daypack for personal items.
  • Other Gear: Sunblock, sunglasses, personal medications, a reusable water bottle, and trekking poles (optional).
How fit do I need to be for this trek?

 

A basic level of fitness is sufficient. Some preparation, such as regular walking, jogging, or light workouts for a few weeks before the trek, will enhance your experience.

Will there be network connectivity during the trek?

Raithal, the starting point, may have limited connectivity for some networks. However, as you trek higher, mobile signals become weak or unavailable, allowing you to fully disconnect and enjoy nature.

What is the accommodation like?

You’ll stay in a homestay/guesthouse in Raithal on Day 1. During the trek, camping tents are provided at the Chilapada and Gui campsites, equipped with sleeping bags and mats for a comfortable night.

Is it safe for solo travelers or first-time trekkers?

 

Yes, the trek is safe for solo and beginner trekkers. You’ll be accompanied by an experienced guide and support staff, who ensure a secure and enjoyable experience.

What type of meals are provided during the trek?

 

The trek package includes all meals from Day 1 dinner to Day 4 breakfast. Nutritious vegetarian meals are prepared at the campsites to keep trekkers energized and healthy.

Is there a toilet facility during the trek?

Basic toilet tents are set up at each campsite. However, since this is a wilderness trek, facilities are simple and eco-friendly.

Can we expect snow on the trek?

 

Yes, if you trek during winter (December to March), the trails and meadows at Dayara Bugyal will likely be covered in snow, adding a beautiful, wintry charm to the landscape.
